I rember Ralph Keys a decent chap, he also had a bloke who worked for him in the shop.Used the garage for a long time when I lived in Edward Street. That’s when you could drive both ways up and down and Park your car outside your house!

Further post,
It’s very sad to see what’s happened to Gainsborough corner, when you see it now it’s like hell on earth
Going back their was Ralph Keys garage a small post office, the another garage on the corner, opposite was a little sweet shop, and other shops including an antiques and a ladies hair dressers shop as well as the Spotted Cow public house where I spent a great deal of my mis spent youth. Just opposite that on the other side of the road used to be a little petrol pump and the Manners Arms pub, and A C Williams’s Renault dealership. Now all you have is fast food outlets and an application to build 2 more……..God help us!
