Fantastic photo, jeez remember like it was yesterday, You got to admit it looks better than it does today, the brains behind the changes wouldn’t agree but that’s what we have come to expect to the ersatz developers and planners

Has a quiet look about it, almost unhurried, take a look today and the area is a total mess, how people put up with it I shall never understand, but I thing I do know is over the years and it started when The Isaac Newton center was built , the town would be systematically changed beyond all recognition. What is it called “The big plan” Oh yer! the only thing they didn’t plan (they being the council and planners) is how people would feel seeing the town destroyed. It’s the same all up and down the country, half witted planners and Councils ruining what were nice towns, in the guise of hell knows why. Perhaps another council lackey photo opportunity, face in paper grinning and telling us all how good it will be, how many bloody times have I heard that one….
Don’t believe me? Then why do we appreciate all the old photos of Grantham depicting the town as it used to be. I must go back and see the monstrous blot on the landscape which will be the new cinema…….Grantham was a nice town, a booming metropolis it is not, so why is the council in its consistently shortsighted wisdom trying to turn it into one.?Maybe yet another photo opportunity who knows!
