I remember it well
Be interesting to see the same shot today, that is if you can avoid the drunks, druggies, halfwits and other assorted undesirables that would try to get into the shot.
Came to Grantham over bank holiday weekend to visit family, there are some very strange people walking around Grantham I can tell you, saw some guy ( well I think it was a man) sat in a doorway in a pool of his own urine out of his head………bloody marvellous.
I was nowhere near “G” @ the weekend!
Ha Ha Ha you see you can be funny when you want to be.
I tell you, you ought to pay a visit to Grantham, it will make you wonder what the hells going on.
Do you know what happened to John Whiteeside, is he still alive? He was a hell of a character in his day long hair, his stomach hanging over his jeans but always a big smile on his face, salt of the earth.
You daid in one of your posts that you knew Jock Weatherstone, how? He was a driver at Humber then a supervisor of sorts, good man, always get directions from him which were spot on. First met him years ago when I had parked up at Blue Star up the A1 and I was thumbing back to Grantham he picked me up funny I would be working with him 12 months later. I had heard that he had passed away but don’t know if it was true.
