
What items belong in your new food waste caddy?
Teams across City of Lincoln Council, North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council are in final preparation stages and getting ready to start collecting your separate food waste collections from week commencing 30 March.
But what sort of items can be put in there, here is a reminder?
✅ All uneaten food and plate scrapings
✅ Raw and cooked meat and fish, including bones
✅ Fruit and vegetables, including peelings, pips, stones and stalks
✅ Dairy products like cheese
✅ Bread, cakes, and pastries
✅ Rice, pasta, and beans ✅ Tea bags and coffee grounds
✅ Eggs and eggshells
✅ Pet food
✅ Out-of-date or mouldy food

If you live in South Kesteven District Council your collections are due to start week commencing 13 April and those residents in Boston Borough, East Lindsey and South Holland you will be seeing this roll out in your areas in the Autumn.
