What do you think of Gainsborough Corner?

What are the views of local people on the horrendous traffic situation around Somerby Hill, Gainsborough Corner junction?

At the planning meeting that SKDC approved the development of the new houses on the A52 Somerby Hill it was reported that LCC Highways say that the additional cars it will put on this route into town would not make any difference.

At the moment I travel along Bridge End Road through the ridiculous junction onto Springfield Rod and almost every occasion it is just a nightmare making this short journey.

Traffic being held up by cars turning right into McDonalds being a major contribution to the back up of traffic coming under the railway bridge which so often gets blocked with traffic not moving in either direction.

I recently witnessed an ambulance being stuck there and unable to move under the bridge. County Council say it will not do anything about it unless developers along the A52 pay for changes.
