
Police are warning homeowners to remain vigilant after a string of Hanoi burglaries in Lincolnshire over the last two months.
Hanoi burglaries see criminals break into properties and steal car keys before making off with the vehicle.
Eight offences have been reported to officers in the county in that time with the latest incident recorded at Hillview Road, South Witham, near Grantham in the early hours of today (Monday, 10 March).
Investigators found the thieves had snapped a lock on the conservatory before taking the car keys from within the house before stealing the vehicle, a VW Golf.
Inquiries are still taking place, and we are asking anyone with information about this offence to get in touch with officers who are trying to identify those who are responsible.

This is the latest incident reported to the force, with similar crimes taking place in other parts of the county in January and February.
Four incidents have been reported in Grantham, and one each in Stamford, Boston and Gainsborough.
Investigations into these incidents are ongoing and we are pursuing all lines of enquiry available to us.

Here are some top tips:
- Ensure your house doors and windows are locked.
- Make sure your house alarm functions and is set.
- CCTV is a good deterrent and will alert you of movement near you vehicle.
- Consider fitting anti-lock snap lock cylinders to your doors.
- Park your vehicle in an alarmed garage if possible.
- Park underneath lights or next to obstructions to make taking the vehicle more difficult.
- Use of physical security products to lock steering wheels from firms such as Secured by Design.
