Two men have been charged in connection with a murder investigation at Long Bennington.
- Stuart Gray, 63, of Main Road, Long Bennington was charged last night with manslaughter and possession of an offensive weapon.
- Terrance Hardy, 35, of Main Road, Long Bennington was charged last night with murder.
The two men have been remanded and are due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates court tomorrow (Monday 16 August).
Police have now named the victim as 46-year-old Dean Gray. He died in hospital due to serious head injuries received at Fairfield Yard in Long Bennington.
Detective Inspector Andy McWatt would like to once again reiterate his appeal for information. He said, “We are grateful to those who have come forward with information to support our investigation. We would also like to thank the local community for their assistance and cooperation. If you feel you might have relevant information, and have not yet spoken to us, we urge you to get in touch. This is a serious and complex investigation and it is important that we have every detail available to help us investigate fully and effectively.”
A 72 year old man previously arrested in connection with the incident, has been released on bail.
