
Police are appealing for information after a 10 year-old girl sustained serious injuries in a park in Metheringham, near Sleaford.
It is believed a group of children were playing in the park (next to the school) in Princes Street around 3.30pm yesterday (Monday, 27 October) when the girl suffered the injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening. She remains in hospital.
A 12 year-old boy was arrested this morning on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent and remains in police custody.*
A 15 year-old boy was also arrested later on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He also remains in police custody.
Policee are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the children in the park at this time, or have dash cam or doorbell footage from the area. They are also asking parents to talk to their children to see if they may have witnessed anything.
