Animal rights protestors have now left the site at Goldholme Stone quarry in Sleaford Road, Ancaster.
The road was closed for about 30 minutes while officers dealt with the incident and those protesting were dispersed by around 11.50am.
Two women, both 20-years-old, who had chained themselves to a concrete-filled tube have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
They remain in police custody. Officers are remaining in the local area today.
The protest was staged by Shut Down T&S Rabbits
Shut Down T&S Rabbits is a grassroots campaign group whose objectives are “to shut down Phil Kerry’s abhorrent business, T&S Rabbits. To ensure all the imprisoned rabbits are released to good homes. To make certain that Phil ends his use of rabbits for profit and to deter any future rabbit breeders from setting up similar exploitative businesses.”
