A Grantham man has received a top housing industry award.
Bellway site manager Justin Williams was recognised in the National House-Building Council’s annual “Pride in the Job” awards.
Mr Williams, 42, collected his gong at the regional NHBC awards for his work at Bellway’s Aspire development in Grantham.
He received a Seal of Excellence award, which are presented to the top 130 site managers across the country.
Mr Williams joined Bellway two years ago and has several NHBC awards to his name.
He said: “It’s great recognition for the site for me to win this award – this is our first full operating year and our customer satisfaction levels are at 100 per cent, so everyone is really pleased.
“Working to keep standards consistently high is always a challenge but it is satisfying and it’s brilliant to have everyone’s efforts formally recognised.”
The NHBC Pride in the Job Awards recognise the country’s best site managers and is the house-building industry’s most prestigious awards programme.
The competition’s judges look for site managers who are meticulous and pay consistent attention to detail. To win an award, site managers must score highly for the quality of workmanship on their site at every stage of the build, while demonstrating qualities including excellent leadership, technical expertise and robust health and safety processes.
Lee Wilkinson, Construction Director for Bellway East Midlands, said: “I am extremely proud of Justin – it’s wonderful to see all of his hard work and the hard work of the site team rewarded by the NHBC.
“Winning a Pride in the Job award is huge honour and is a reflection of the high standards which we strive to achieve at every stage of the build process on our sites across the region.”
