I alway’s went with owt fried fresh in a “Wok” at about 210c you was not going to be infected by a lot? Wagon & Hosses! at Caythorpe obviously changed???? used to be ok for food in my day! up there! Caythorpe had good “Chippy” as well! Richard’ was Governor’ alway’s took pride in his end product! Loved how I got “Fat” in Grantham, all a bit mundane in North Essex where I live now! best Fish & Chips down this way is in Harwich! the “Old Town” just in case any of my old lot get this way!! Do use my bus pass often to go for a fish & chip fix! that Portuguese Guy in Cecil street was Very good in Grantham! ( used to Que to St Anne’s Street’ when “Emery’s”on a Saturday’) but lots of the “Old good places went! The Guy that took Mick O’Meras place on Springfield road I tried once when new?? spoke to him & staff! lotsa promises hope he kept it to how it was??? I do not know now! Springy was great!! can anyone remember when “Mick” used to do “Haggis” in batter! & them triangular bits of Fish??? every thing said “Frozen” fillets” but was so so good & Mrs O’mera always served & wrapped your order on??? perhaps not solid??? but Silver plate! fantastic Grantham day’s from a ex now North Essex Grantham bloke! there you go!
