Sculptor David Sharpe, who is set to create the winning design later this year, met visual arts students on Monday to talk through questions on their upcoming designs for the World War One themed sculpture.
After showing a portfolio of his work based around metal and recycled materials he often uses in his designs, he gave tips and pointers to the students on the competition theme on World War One and/or The Machine Gun Corps.
Designers are asked to consult his website www.davidsharpesculpture.co.uk or Facebook page David Sharpe Sculpture to see examples of his work.
