A 17-year-old boy died following a two-vehicle collision near RAF Cranwell, say police
Officers were called to the incident involving an Audi and a Ford Fiesta on the A17 Newark Road in North Rauceby, shortly before 22:00 BST on Thursday.
The teenager, who was driving the Fiesta, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, along with three passengers, but later died from his injuries, Lincolnshire Police said.
Three people in the Audi sustained minor injuries.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Our thoughts are with their family at this extremely difficult time, and they are being supported by specially trained officers.”
Details of any injuries to the other occupants of the Fiesta have not yet been disclosed.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the collision and have appealed for anyone with dashcam footage, or who was in the area at the time, to get in touch.
