Harrowby Singers, Grantham’s amateur musical theatre group, is thrilled to announce open auditions for the role of Charlie Bucket in their upcoming production of *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory*.
Now the group is on the lookout for two talented young performers to bring this iconic character to life on stage.
They invite girls aged 8-12 and boys aged 8-11 with a passion for singing, acting, and performing to audition for this leading role. The selected child will have the unique opportunity to step into the magical world of Willy Wonka and lead a cast in one of the most beloved stories of all time.
“We’re searching for someone with not just talent, but the ability to truly capture the wonder and innocence of Charlie Bucket,” said Luke Pick one of the directors of the production. “This is a fantastic opportunity for a young performer to shine in a major role, and we can’t wait to see the talent Grantham has to offer.”

Rehearsals for the production will begin in October with performances scheduled for week commencing 10th March 2025 at the Guildhall Arts Centre Grantham. This is a unique chance for local youth to gain experience in theatre, work alongside experienced performers, and be part of a quality production that promises to be a highlight of the Grantham cultural calendar.
