Supple, Fred – Credit manager was a keen sportsman

Frederick Supple (1946-2011)

Frederick Joseph Supple was born in Cleethorpes, one of four children. He was married to Irene.

He worked as credit manager for Eddison Plant Limited, in Grantham, for 27 years.

He also worked at Allington Nurseries and Diesel Power, prior to his retirement.

Fred was a very active sportsman, playing in the Grantham football and darts leagues for many years.

He was a keen swimmer and runner and was also a member of Belton Park Golf Club for over 30 years, enjoying both playing and watching golf.

He liked attending sporting events all over the world, especially football, cricket and boxing. He spent many years as secretary/treasurer for local golf clubs, The Sportsman and Huntingtower Arms.

Mr Supple was a keen member of local pub quiz teams and also enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku.
