Race against the clock! Helping Hands volunteer takes on 60-second store dash as Grantham shop launches rapid delivery
A popular Grantham convenience store is celebrating the launch of its new 30-60 minute home delivery service with a high-energy Supermarket Sweep-style challenge in support of local charity Helping Hands Grantham.
Harlaxton Road Convenience Store has partnered with Snappy Shopper to bring rapid grocery delivery to households across Grantham — and to mark the occasion, a volunteer from Helping Hands will take on a 60-second Store Dash between 2pm and 5pm on Tuesday 3 March.
With just one minute on the clock, the volunteer will race through the aisles grabbing as many essentials as possible — excluding alcohol, tobacco and scratchcards — with the entire haul paid for by Snappy Shopper and donated to the charity.
The launch event will also feature in-store giveaways and the chance for customers to win an iPad when placing an order through the Snappy Shopper app. The first 25 customers on the day will receive a free 70cl bottle of Smirnoff vodka.
Shoppers can unlock exclusive in-app offers, including a five-item cleaning bundle for just 99p featuring Surf, Comfort, Fairy Liquid, Domestos and a four-pack of Andrex. New customers can receive £8 off their first two orders, along with free delivery using the code HARLAXTON88FR.
Owner Lexaselan Thambirajah said:
“We’re proud to serve the Grantham community, and launching home delivery means we can now support customers who can’t always make it into store — whether that’s busy families, older residents or those with limited mobility.
“Partnering with Snappy Shopper allows us to stay local while offering the speed and convenience customers expect.”
A Snappy Shopper spokesperson added:
“This is exactly what local retail is about — community, convenience and giving back. Partnering with Harlaxton Road Convenience Store means residents in Grantham can now shop local with the added benefit of fast home delivery.”
The launch takes place on Tuesday 3 March at Harlaxton Road Convenience Store, with online offers available exclusively via the Snappy Shopper app, downloadable from the App Store and Google Play.
Snappy Shopper partners with independent retailers across the UK, helping them grow through home delivery while staying closely connected to their local communities.
