As part of St Wulfram’s Lenten programme, this Sunday afternoon from 3:00pm to 5:30pm the walled garden at Grantham House will be open for the ‘Stations of the Cross’ – a self-guided walk with Christ, recalling the last journey our Lord took on his way to his crucifixion. Other dates that the garden will be open for the Stations of the Cross are 20 March, 3 and 10 April. The Details of this hugely exciting weekend are as follows: Friday 18 at 6:00pm A procession through the streets of Grantham with the Relic of Wulfram, flaming torches, huge carnival images. At 6:30pm Formal Service of Reception with all the senior clergy of the Diocese. Saturday 19 – Saturday Morning Recital featuring the Winter Singers raising money for the Ukraine. At 7:30pm The Sleaford Ukulele Orchestra – will play 2 x 45 minute sets in church with an interval between. Sunday 20 our normal 8:00am Eucharist, 9.30am Festal Mass with Dom Christopher Ludovic as our preacher from the Abbey of St Wandrille. 6.30pm Festal Evensong with the Archbishop of York. Archbishop Stephen said – “I’m very much looking forward to joining the people of Grantham as we celebrate St Wulfram. “Wulfram was a faithful preacher of the Gospel in his day and so we pray that we too may be faithful in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in our own time”. |
