Communities across the counties we serve and beyond are experiencing an unprecedented set of circumstances, so, as a valued supporter we wanted to update you on the work of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We remain committed to providing a pre-hospital critical care response during the outbreak. Our Ambucopter crew continue to respond to emergencies and are well placed to respond to this ever-changing picture. They have taken delivery of full Personal Protective Equipment to ensure patient safety and, of course, to protect themselves. We continue to work alongside our ambulance service colleagues and NHS hospitals to monitor developments and ensure that patients across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire continue to receive the best possible care.
In order to protect our staff, volunteers and the wider community, we have cancelled all events, cheque collections, talks, box collections and all upcoming engagements which involve the gathering of people. Our shops have been temporarily closed and we are advising people to hold on to clothing, furniture and other shop donations for the time-being.
It has been reassuring and wonderful to hear about communities coming together to support each other at such a difficult time. While at the moment we don’t know what the impact of the pandemic will be on our income, we expect it will be significant so we just want to say thank you so much for your continued support.
We receive no government funding for our ongoing work so we are entirely reliant on the continued generous support of people like you. We need to come together now more than ever so please keep up to date with our work by visiting ambucopter.org.uk or follow us on social media.
Patients’ lives still depend on us being there, so your continued support is really appreciated. Stay safe.
Thank you,
Karen Jobling
CEO
