Nah not a hundred, not yet, but feel it sometimes! But I do rember the High street before the supermarkets and the big nationals came. I rember my mother on a Saturday morning not being able to walk the length of the High Street without stopping to talk to at least a dozen other women all doing the same…..getting the weekly shop, and trotting off down the market to get a bargain. Getting some sweets from Spoges sweet shop was the highlight then back home on the bus for dinner
