Scouts and cubs paraded in Wyndham Park in 1953, about 500 of them together with guides and brownies. Their chaplain, the Rev E. E. Jourdain, led the prayers. In the background is the nursery school, opened in wartime to help women work in industry. It was replaced by a brick building at the end of the 20th Century.
