Before you make the long-anticipated trip to the seaside this summer, it’s worth taking a look at which beaches some Brits aren’t loving.
With the help of TripAdvisor reviews, Preply has uncovered the top 10 beaches that haven’t quite hit the mark for some visitors.
To do this, the team first created a seed list of the nation’s top 20 most popular and famous beaches, which were then analysed by the number of 1,2, and 3-star reviews, to reveal which ones might leave you feeling underwhelmed:

Skegness is an iconic British seaside destination, with attractions such as Butlins, Fantasy Island, and of course the iconic Skegness Beach. However, 1 in 6 (15%) TripAdvisor reviewers shared their underwhelming experiences.
The beach ranked closely behind Formby Beach (18%), West Wittering Beach (20%) and Brighton Beach (20%), with North Shore Beach, Llandudno (29%) taking the top spot.
Despite this minor setback, the majority of reviewers shared their pleasant time at Skegness Beach, showing that it is still a great place to soak up the sunshine this summer.
