A special week-long business showcase will be back in full swing in March.
South Kesteven District Council’s Enterprise Week from 9 to 13 March aims to promote business development and entrepreneurial spirit, stimulate business growth and help create new business.
Interactive workshops, informative talks and networking will be covered in events across Grantham and Stamford.
These events will include how to blog your business to success, the use of LinkedIn and social retailing, as well as tips on delivering great customer service and telephone techniques.
The highlight of the week will be a full day business problem solving experience at Stoke Rochford Hall on Wednesday 11 March.
The afternoon will incorporate the final of a novel problem solving event, the exciting ‘Apple Business Challenge’.
A £250 cash prize, sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses, is up for grabs for the team that designs and builds a vehicle or device capable of transporting the most apples along a 10 metre track – it’s as easy as ABC.
The winning team will transport the most apples from A to B over a two minute period. Full details, entry criteria and closing date will be available on the enterprise week website.
Multi medal-winning paralympian Jade Etherington will be key speaker at Wednesday evenings networking event, organised by Total Networking.
Coun Frances Cartwright, SKDC’s portfolio holder for grow the economy said: “Here at SKDC we are extremely committed to supporting business growth and development across the district and it’s great to see Enterprise Week back again after such a successful event in March of this year.
“Free business advice will also be available during the week through our SKDC4Business scheme from independent advisors Paul Parkinson and Aimee Holland.”
A dedicated website with the full programme of events for the week, including how to book for each session, is online at www.skdcenterpriseweek.co.uk
