South Kesteven District Council has partnered with We Are Undefeatable and Stamford Health Education and Awareness Charity (SHEAC) to deliver an event supporting those with long-term health conditions.
The event will be held at Stamford Arts Centre on Monday 20th February between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.
Presentations from We Are Undefeatable, One You Lincolnshire and MindSpace will provide attendees with advice on how to improve physical and mental wellbeing.
Cllr Annie Mason, Cabinet Member for People and Safer Communities said: “One in four people across England live with long-term health conditions and the impact it can have on daily lives is hard to imagine.
“I am delighted that the event is being hosted to support those suffering with long-term health conditions and give them the opportunity to ask questions and meet others who can relate.”
The event will open with a Meet & Greet session where attendees will have the chance to speak to representatives from 20 organisations to seek advice and learn more about their condition.
We Are Undefeatable will provide a short, interactive physical activity to highlight the positive impact of being active whilst One You Lincolnshire discusses the benefits of eating a nutritious diet. MindSpace will present the 5 Ways to Wellbeing before a guest speaker shares their perspective of living with a long-term health condition.
The event is free to attend and no booking is required. Car parking is available at Wharf Road, Stamford, PE9 2EB
