Shirley Anne Hall

July 26, 2026 Leave a Comment

It is with great sadness we announce that Shirley Anne Hall passed away peacefully at Royal Windsor Care Home on 18th July 2026 aged 88 years.

Shirley was the beloved wife of 68 years to Graham, a loving mother to Valerie and Lynda, a much loved Nana To George, Nicholas and Kari and Great Nonna to Thomas.

Shirley grew up in Grantham and attended St Anne’s and Barrowby Primary Schools and the Girls’ Central School. A full time mother until her daughters were older, she worked for many years at BMARCO, Grantham, latterly in a clerical role in the Gauge Inspection department. In 1986, she left work to accompany Graham, who was sent to work in Singapore for a year. This turned into 7 years of travel, new friends, new opportunities and a wonderful lifestyle. They retired in 1993 to live in Elms View, Great Gonerby. Shirley was a vibrant, kind and friendly lady who loved people and adored her family. She was very glamorous and loved to wear sparkly, bright clothes and her beautiful jewellery. She will be dearly missed by her Family and Friends.

A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday 18th August at 10:30am at Grantham Crematorium, Harrowby Road, Grantham, NG31 9DT

Family flowers only please. Donations will be taken on the day for the work of Alzheimer’s Research UK. No formal dress code but attendees are invited to wear bright colours and sparkle to celebrate Shirley’s life.
