Becci Sharrock (b1983)
Becci was born at Grantham Hospital and grew up in Belton Lane.
She went to Little Gonerby School, National School and KGGS.
Surprisingly, she didn’t attend any drama groups in town although did have a walk on part in a school play at KGGS (“girl eating”!!)
Instead, she spent hours devouring books in Grantham Library growing up, reading her way through the collections and from that being inspired to write herself; writing short stories and poems from a young age.
She now lives and works in the North East.
She is a writer, theatre maker and creative producer and has worked for Live Theatre, Theatre Sans Frontieres, ARC and Northern Stage.
As a creative producer she has worked with Precious Cargo, Josh Coates, Matt Miller and Leo Burtin.
She is also the Writer in Residence at Beamish Museum, The Living Museum of the North.
