Search for new chief executive to lead mental health and learning disability services

July 24, 2021 by Grantham Matters Leave a Comment

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) is searching for a new chief executive to lead the Trust on its continued journey to deliver outstanding mental health and learning disability services.

With around 2,500 staff based in community and hospital services across Lincolnshire, LPFT provides the full range of specialist services to support people with mental ill health, learning disabilities and autism in Lincolnshire and some surrounding areas.

The chief executive will take a lead role in helping the organisation continue its ambition to help people live well in their communities.

Joining at a time of significant investment in mental health and learning disability services, they will act as an ambassador for the Trust and will work with other health and care partners, locally, regionally and nationally to ensure mental health and learning disability services continue to be given the same priority as physical health and work collaboratively as a health and care system to provide the right care, at the right time for our community.

Rated Good overall and Outstanding for Well-led by the Care Quality Commission, the Trust remains committed to striving for an overall ‘Outstanding’ rating, to ensure services continue to be the very best they can.

Chair of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Kevin Lockyer said:

“This is an integral role for our organisation and one that will take on the Trust’s ambitious plans for the future to deliver the very best services for our community, in a sustainable way.

“There are lots of exciting changes happening across LPFT that the chief executive will spearhead and bring to fruition, including the £37million investment in building three new wards to replace outdated patient environments, implementation of new ways of working in community mental health care and transforming care for people with a learning disability and/or autism.

“We are a Trust with enormous potential and a determination to achieve excellence.  I would welcome applicants who can share and drive that determination.

“Our values are an important part of who we are as an organisation and we are looking for someone that can live, breathe and role model these values and behaviours.”

The Trust will be accepting applications for the role up until 1 August 2021 and is expecting to announce a successful candidate in mid-September.
