Grantham’s Mid Lent Fair returns tomorrow with fun, rides and attractions for all the family – and road closures.
Today (Saturday 6 Apri) from 6am to 6am Thursday 11 April – Union Street, Conduit Lane, Market Place and Narrow Westgate will be closed to traffic.
Although officially closed, Westgate, Guildhall Street and Welby Street will remain open until 3pm on Saturday 6 April to allow parking for visitors to the market. Guildhall Street is open throughout as far as Greenwoods Road to allow access to the car park.
Westgate businesses will continue to trade as normal during the fair.
Whether you want to take a spin on the waltzers, brave it on white-knuckle rides like Cyclone Twist and Bomber, eat some sticky candyfloss or try your hand at hooking some ducks – there will be something for everyone.
An SKDC spokesman said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the Mid Lent Fair to Grantham once again. It is always hugely popular with residents and visitors alike and this year has over 90 rides and attractions for all ages to enjoy.”
Discount vouchers (30p off children’s rides and 50p off adult rides) are available from South Kesteven’s District Council’s Customer Service Centre at St Peter’s Hill.
