Heather Roach (b1967)
Born in Chesterfield, Heather moved to Lincolnshire when she was about six. She was educated at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Alford.
Her first job was with the tax office when she was 18 but soon realised wasn’t the right one for her.
Interested in something that gave back to the community, around 1985/1986 , Heather became a Special Constable in Louth and Mablethorpe and loved it so much. she decided to become a full time officer.
Heather began her new career in Grantham and had a really inspirational tutor there who was fearless, bold, competent, and always very supportive.
From there, most of her appointments have been detective based and she experienced CID at most levels.
She became one of the first Force Control Room Inspectors following the move from five divisional control rooms to one.
She also spent time in anti-corruption and professional standards.
In 2014 she was appointed Deputy Chief Constable and retired in April 2016
She is married with two sons.
