Lincolnshire County Council Conservative group says…
Lincolnshire residents will be shocked to learn that Reform UK’s County Council Leader
has authorised £2,580.10 of public money to repaint his office at County Hall.
This comes just weeks after it was revealed that Reform UK spent over £1,100 widening
their own parking bays for oversized SUVs. Now, taxpayers are footing the bill for
cosmetic changes to the Leader’s workspace.
Reform UK promised to cut wasteful spending. Instead, they are prioritising personal
perks over public services. Is this what Lincolnshire voted for- lavish spending on offices
and parking spaces while pledging to “do politics differently”?
A Conservative spokesperson said: “At a time when families are watching every penny, Reform UK’s Leader thinks it’s acceptable to spend thousands on a fresh coat of paint for his office. This isn’t about improving services – it’s about personal comfort at public expense. Lincolnshire deserves better.”
Lincolnshire taxpayers should not be funding vanity projects.
