

The bus company which has lost seven vehicles after flames ripped through its depot in Grantham says that no-one was injured and services are running as normal.
Fire crews from Grantham, Stamford, Sleaford and Newark tackled the blaze at Centrebus’ Tollemache Road South depot, Spittlegate Level, yesterday afternoon.
Centrebus’s commercial manager Bijel Mistry,, said: “We are working with the fire service to establish the cause of the fire and investigations are ongoing.

“I can confirm that fortunately no one was hurt in the incident.
“Our service levels have been unaffected by this, and are continuing to operate as normal.”
A spokeswoman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “We were called at 3.38pm to a bus depot on Tollmache Road South in Grantham.
“Crews from Grantham, Stamford and Sleaford attended, along with a Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue crew from Newark.
“Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish a number of buses on fire.
“This resulted in severe damage by fire to 100 per cent of five buses and 50 per cent of two further buses.
“There was heat damage to a small quantity of guttering and wiring on the side of a building.”
