One lucky ticket holder has scooped a welcome pre-Christmas prize of £2,000 from LotterySK, South Kesteven District Council’s community lottery.
Another ticket holder, supporting Oasby horse therapy charity Foxdale, has won £250 in the weekly draw.
Cllr Annie Mason, SKDC Cabinet Member for People and Safer Communities, said: “What brilliant timing for our lottery to deliver such welcome prizes, and great encouragement for others to buy tickets in the run-up to Christmas and support their favourite good cause.”
The £2,000 festive win is going to a supporter of Dancepointe, one of 116 good causes and organisations benefitting from weekly income from LotterySK.
The Grantham dance school has received £2,536 from LotterySK thanks to tickets purchased with the school as the nominated beneficiary.
Nominated good causes receive 50p for every £1 ticket sold with players having the chance of scooping a £25,000 top prize in the weekly draw.
Another 10p from each ticket sale goes to the SK Community Fund, meaning that 60 per cent of each £1 ticket goes to support good causes in South Kesteven and every ticket has a one in 50 chance of winning.
