Lincolnshire Police are asking owners of plant machinery, agricultural equipment and commercial vehicles to take extra precautions, after an increase in thefts across the county.
Criminals are continuing to target valuable plant equipment and vehicles, with Toyota Hilux and Nissan Navara models among those most frequently stolen.
Owners are being urged to make their equipment as secure as possible: removing keys when not in use, fitting additional security devices, parking in secure locations and considering tracking systems where appropriate.
Police are also asking people to stay alert and report anything suspicious, particularly around farms, industrial sites, construction areas and business premises, as information from the public plays a vital role in identifying offenders and preventing further thefts.
Anyone who spots suspicious behaviour, or has information about vehicle or machinery thefts, is asked to call 101. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, always call 999.
