FIREFIGHTERS were called to two incident within minutes of each other yesterday and both are being treated as arson.
The first was at bungalow in Coleby, near Navenby, at 8pm yesterday (Monday).
A wheelie-bin at an address on Coronation Crescent, was deliberately set on fire. The blaze spread to a bungalow via a shed.
Early estimates put the cost of the damage in excess of £10,000.
No-one was injured. And at about 8:15pm a barn was set on fire at a farm on Green Lane, Swinderby.
The barn contained bales of hay and other items. Firefighters from Collingham and Grantham joined a crew from North Hykeham to tackle the inferno.

The damage to the barn and its contents has been estimated at more than £70,000.
A small car, perhaps a Vauxhall Corsa or similar, was seen in the area shortly before the blaze was discovered. This car may or may not be connected to the incident but we are keen to eliminate it form our enquiries. No-one was injured.
At present police cannot say that the two fires are linked in any way but that is a line of inquiry they are pursuing. Both fires are being investigated as arson.
