Police were called to the Harrowby area this morning after reports of dogs on the loose.
There are claims that several dogs were attacked.
One woman, whose dog was attacked as she walked her, said: “I was lucky. A passing motorist stopped and we bundled her in his car for safety before they could hurt her too much.
“We’re both pretty traumatised.”
A Police spokesman said: “Incident 91 was reported this morning at 09.08am and refers to a report of four dogs, possibly Alsatians, in the Tennyson Avenue area of Grantham.
