Not much change in nearly 40 years

A FORMER shop in Norton Street. More than 180 signed a petition in 1980 when it was earmarked as a home for mentally ill people.
The street seems less cluttered with cars than of late.
Corner of Fletcher Street and Norton Street, the shop on the corner used to be Woolertons bakery, opposite was the Spread Eagle Pub later to be the Oddhouse, further down Fletcher Street towards Commercial Road was Ayres fish and chip shop
