Nominations launch for the 2023 Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards

Active Lincolnshire is excited to launch the nominations for the 19th annual
Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards.

The annual awards celebrate amazing stories across eleven different categories. Each
award showcases the positive impact physical activity has on people’s lives, as well as
providing a chance to recognise individuals, volunteers, sports clubs, schools,

communities, organisations and businesses who actively contribute to the health and
wellbeing of Lincolnshire and use physical activity to support positive change.

For 2023, Active Lincolnshire are adding in two new categories to the awards; the
Active Achievement Award, which celebrates a specific outstanding achievement, from
fundraising challenges to elite sporting success, and the Active Event Award which
recognises events of any size that encourage people to move more.

Emma Tatlow, CEO of Active Lincolnshire said: “We are delighted to open nominations for the Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2023. The awards are a celebration of the amazing work individuals, groups and organisations across the county are doing to support local residents to enjoy the
benefits of being active, as well as shining a light on the inspirational personal
achievements of people using sport and activity to transform their own lives.

“They’re a chance to say thank you to volunteers and staff, who go above and beyond to help
others to have opportunities to be active on a regular basis. We hear so many fantastic
and inspiring examples from a diverse range of individuals, groups and organisations
who have gone above and beyond to help keep people in Lincolnshire moving at the
awards. And it is also an opportunity to highlight the impact and importance of the
sport, physical activity and leisure sector.”

Nominations for the 2023 awards will be open until Monday 31st July. Following this an
independent panel of judges will choose the finalists for each category and winners will
be announced at the award ceremony in early November.

Each finalist will receive two
free tickets to the awards and be able to celebrate their achievements with hundreds of
other Lincolnshire locals at this inspiring, feel-good event.
