NHS trust looking for health professionals to support local mental health crisis services

May 28, 2022 by Grantham Matters Leave a Comment

Lincolnshire’s main provider of mental health and learning disability services is holding a recruitment open day for professionals wishing to explore opportunities in Lincoln’s mental health crisis and home treatment services.

There are a number of exciting opportunities available in Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (LPFT) Lincoln Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) Team and the trust is specifically looking for registered nurses, allied health professionals and social workers interested in supporting people with severe mental health problems.

The trust is inviting registered nurses, whether in mental health, learning disabilities or general nursing, as well as allied health professionals such as occupational therapists, paramedics, social workers and nursing associates to its open day for the chance to find out more about working for an award-winning trust.

Attendees will have the chance to meet members of the clinical team and find out more about what it’s like to work within the Lincoln Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team, with the chance to be interviewed on the day.

The open day will take place on Saturday 11 June between 10am-2pm at Discovery House, St Georges, Long Leys Road, Lincoln, LN1 1FS.

Hayley Slater, Service Manager for LPFT’s Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams, added: “Our Lincoln Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team provides a vital service to those experiencing mental ill health. The team supports people experiencing a mental health crisis within their own communities, with the aim of preventing people needing to access hospital support.

“This open day could open the door to a fantastic new career for any registered health professional, or anyone who’s nearing the completion of their qualification who wishes to make a difference to the lives of people with mental health problems in Lincolnshire.”

Paula Jelly, Associate Director of Inpatient and Urgent Care Services at LPFT, added: “There has never been a more exciting opportunity to work in mental health services, with the NHS Long Term Plan committed to investing and growing crisis and home treatment services.

“This is a trust that genuinely cares about its people. Alongside opportunities for career progression, we strive to keep our staff healthy and happy at work by offering a range of wellbeing programmes, as well as an excellent work-life balance.

“Our commitment to staff is reflected in the high ratings we were given in the 2021 National NHS Staff Survey, where our own staff rated us as the number one NHS trust in the Midlands for being compassionate and inclusive, as well as the number one NHS trust nationally for staff morale.

“This recruitment open day is one not to be missed!”
