Mental health nurses, staff providing 24/7 sexual assault support and psychologists are among the winners of this year’s Team LPFT Values Awards at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT).
Taking place last night, the eleventh annual LPFT awards ceremony were attended by over 200 staff and volunteers, shortlisted from nominations made by colleagues, service users, carers and members of the public.
The nine award categories included everyday excellence, leading by example, innovation and improvement and working together.
Lincoln mental health nurse Chantelle Irikok accepted an award on behalf of the International Recruitment Team. She said:
“I am so delighted for the team. We work really hard attracting people from across the globe, we help them settle into UK life and train them to become mental health nurses. So far, the programme is doing amazingly well and we’ve recruited and trained nine nurses for our inpatient wards.”
Neil Wells from the Sexual Assault Referral Centre team, which also won an award, commented:
“It means so much to the team. They care deeply about each and every client which walks through the door of Spring Lodge in Lincoln – who have often experienced a life changing trauma. They have genuine compassion for clients and do everything they can and more to support them in the best way possible. This is wonderful recognition!”
Kevin Lockyer, LPFT Chair, said:
“Every nomination told a story of compassion, care and dedication. By holding these awards, we can show our appreciation and gratitude to all our staff and volunteers who make a difference every day.”
Chief Executive, Sarah Connery, added:
“I’ve been really humbled over the past year at how our teams and volunteers have delivered or supported patient care in unprecedented times, faced new challenges and found innovative ways to overcome them. All this, while showing excellent care and dedication to our patients and carers.
“Our awards are a brilliant opportunity for us to celebrate outstanding achievements and showcase how our staff and volunteers demonstrate our core values, deliver great services and improve patient experiences.”
The event was held at Lincolnshire Showground and made possible by sponsorship from Iaptus, Pipework Services, IHP – Integrated Health Projects, Browne Jacobson, Civica Prescribing, CPD Consultancy, Peachy Events, SF Taylor and Lindum.
