InvestSK has this week launched a new online directory to help local residents and visitors find out which shops and services are open in South Kesteven.
WhatShop is a free directory designed to promote businesses in the district that have reopened after lockdown. While it guides shoppers to understand any changes in opening hours and find out what safety measures to expect in stores, WhatShop will continue to run beyond the re-opening phase to promote everything the district’s towns have to offer.
South Kesteven’s economic growth and regeneration company, InvestSK, is inviting businesses in Bourne, The Deepings, Grantham and Stamford to join WhatShop by adding a free profile listing to the site.
Cllr Kelham Cooke, Chairman of InvestSK and Leader of South Kesteven District Council, said: “This week saw the very welcome reopening of high streets in South Kesteven’s four fantastic market towns.
“Our retailers and other businesses have worked incredibly hard to comply with Government advice to make sure they can open safely and I’m pleased to say that shoppers have responded well to the changes.
“InvestSK and South Kesteven District Council are committed to supporting the economic revival of our district post-coronavirus, and we’re working hard to explore various programmes to ignite that recovery.
Steve Bowyer, CEO of InvestSK, said: “In a recent survey businesses told us they’d like more help with promoting their offer, so WhatShop is our direct response to support our town centre retailers and drive footfall towards their door.
“I’d encourage everyone to visit the site and take a look at the fantastic retailers and businesses that are open in South Kesteven and please, show your support and shop local.”
WhatShop is free to use for shoppers searching for what’s open in South Kesteven’s town centres, and for businesses that would like to list their details to be featured.
