Two experienced staff have started work in new roles to help South Kesteven residents cope with increases in the cost of living.
The posts have been funded for 12 months from the UK Support Prosperity Fund and will ensure a dedicated resource is maintained.
Cost of Living Co-Ordinator Funmi Reilly and Support Officer Stella Darker will take their lead from the Council’s dedicated working group, to set up and ensure the smooth operation of a range of projects.
They will also provide advice and support with:
Household budgeting, money management and welfare benefits
Helping residents to claim benefits that may be due
Completing income and expenditure assessments to access Government support
Debt advice
Working with charities and community groups to help the vulnerable
Funmi said: “I am already involved in financial inclusion, the household support fund and cost of living impacts, and look forward to continuing my work with external support organisations to support those residents in real need.”
Stella added: “As an experienced support officer, I enjoy working with the public and together we will help people requiring our support and advice.”
