Adults across Grantham, Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties now have more space to learn, retrain and grow their careers following the opening of 3 Counties Accounts Training Services (3CATS)’ new adult education centre on Springfield Road.
The new centre, based at The Old Malthouse on Springfield Road in Grantham, was officially opened on Friday 4 September by Councillor Nikki Manterfield, councillor for Springfield Ward.
3CATS has moved into the larger premises to meet the growing demand for flexible, practical training. Designed around the needs of adult learners and corporate clients, the new centre gives 3CATS the room to offer an expanded programme of courses, more training space and a modern environment that supports learning at every stage.
Kym Harper, Director and Head of Curriculum of 3CATS, said: “This new centre means we can say yes to more people. We meet adults every day who want to move forward but may not know where to start. They might be returning to learning after years away, looking for a career with real prospects or simply wanting the confidence to take that next step. Our job is to make training feel achievable. We give people practical skills, clear guidance and proper support, so they leave feeling more capable than when they arrived. Opening this new space in Grantham gives us the opportunity to support even more learners and businesses to do exactly that.”
The move marks an exciting new chapter for 3CATS, which works with individuals looking to develop practical skills in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and business skills, as well as businesses investing in the development of their teams.
The opening was attended by learners, local businesses and supporters of 3CATS, who were invited to tour the facilities, meet the team and learn more about the courses and corporate training available.
Councillor Nikki Manterfield said: “Learning should be accessible to people at every stage of life. Grantham is full of people with ambition looking to change direction or build skills for the next stage of their career and having quality training available locally can make a real difference. It is brilliant to see 3CATS investing in a local centre that gives more people access to practical, supportive training close to home. This is a welcome addition for Springfield Ward and the wider Grantham community.”
3CATS provides personalised adult training for individuals and businesses. Its expert-led courses combine practical learning, flexible study options and supportive tutoring to help people build confidence, develop professional knowledge and progress in their careers.
