Lincolnshire Co-op’s £1.5 million food store on the corner of Springfield Road and Hanbury Avenue is on target for a spring opening.
It will create 15 jobs for the area, boosting the local economy. Work started onsite in summer 2019 and is progressing well.
Once open, the store will offer food to go and groceries, chilled beers, wines and meal solutions, plus goods in Lincolnshire Co-op’s Love Local range including Grantham Gingerbread made by local producer Hawkens Gingerbread.
Lincolnshire Co-op’s Store Development Manager Matt Wilkinson said: “We’re excited to be bringing a food store to Grantham and work onsite is going well. The steel framework for the building has been constructed and we hope to open the doors and welcome customers inside the new outlet by spring 2020.
“It’s our first food store in the town and will add to the valued services already provided by our nearby Grantham Travel branch and Barrowby Gate Pharmacy.”
