A new food store in Grantham opened its doors for the first time today, offering people in the area a new shopping choice during lockdown and beyond.
The £1.5m Lincolnshire Co-op outlet on the corner of Hanbury Avenue and Springfield Road has created 15 jobs. There’s a range of services on offer including groceries, baked goods from our Gadsby’s Bakery, food-to-go options and chilled beers and wines.
Food Store Manager Kieran Hitch said: “We’ve been delighted with the reaction on opening day and it’s been brilliant to meet our customers.
“Opening an outlet during this time has been a new experience for everyone and I’d like to thank my team and everyone from Lincolnshire Co-op who has helped us. I’d also like to thank the shoppers using our store who have been following all the social distancing measures in place.”
Shoppers at the store can also become Lincolnshire Co-op members. As members they’ll get a dividend card to collect dividend each time they shop in any Lincolnshire Co-op outlet.
They’ll also be entitled to a range of member benefits, get access to member only events, vote for who sits on the Board of Directors and have their say at Annual Members’ Meetings.
