NHS staff from across Lincolnshire have completed a gruelling 20-mile walk around the Edale Skyline, raising more than £5,000 for Lincolnshire NHS Charity.
A team of 54 colleagues from Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) battled challenging terrain and heavy rain to support staff wellbeing projects across both trusts.

The Edale Skyline is a demanding circular hiking route in the Peak District, following the high-level ridge around the Edale Valley, with significant ascent and tricky ground including bogs and rocky paths.
The team surpassed their £5,000 target after completing the challenge on Saturday 9 May.
Jade Shucksmith, a Mental Health Practitioner at LPFT, said: “The views were amazing. It was a tough day, particularly when the heavens opened, but onwards we all went – and what an achievement. Our guides were brilliant at keeping us going and laughing throughout.”
Ben Petts, Interim Charity Manager at Lincolnshire NHS Charity, said: “Having taken part in this event alongside our NHS staff, I can 100% say it was a testing challenge. I am genuinely thrilled that we’ve beaten the target. Thank you to everyone that supported this challenge.”
Money raised will fund staff wellbeing projects including exercise equipment, team workshops, and additional equipment for community staff driving in poor weather conditions.
There is still time to support the team on their JustGiving page.
