More road closures in Grantham area

Vistry’s night-time working is booked for site investigation works from 16th Sept to 5th October (8:00PM to 06:00AM) for the A1 slip roads off the A52 Barrowby Road.

Coun Richard Davies says: “We have requested that the start time be amended to working between 9:30PM and 05:30AM and we’re awaiting a response.

“Only a tiny element of this is on the LCC network; the bulk of the work is on National Highways slip roads, which they approved”.”

The investigation works include:-

• Vegetation clearance

• CCTV surveys of drainage

• CBR testing

• Borehole investigations

• Coring

To enable Vistry to undertake these works, temporary lane closures with traffic signals and full slip lane closures will be in place during night-time working.

All roads and slip roads will be fully open between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., and access will be maintained to all properties and businesses at all times.

Diversionary routes from the A1 will also be signposted during slip road closures.
