Margaret Thatcher celebrations in Grantham making progress

Progress has been made on our Thatcher Fest event to counter the pro Thatcher tributes from other events/speakers.

This controversial and divisive woman was to have a profound impact on our society, our industry and our quality of life then and even today.

We could stew in silence as guests like Edwina Curry come to Grantham for Thatcher Fest but, on behalf of the millions of people affected so badly by her legacy, we feel ‘Alternative Voices’ deserve to be heard.

Join us on a night of music and poetry. 

Billy Blagg is kindly giving up his time before heading to Leicester O2 arena.

Tom Child folk singer and BBC Radio Lincs presenter will be singing a number of traditional miners songs.

Murray Turner will be performing his own work as will poet Mike Alderson. 

All of our artists are volunteering their time and proceeds will go to Foodbank.
