A man has been charged with multiple offences following investigations into several separate incidents in the Grantham area.
Officers have brought the charges against Adrian Lagdon, 40, of no fixed address following a report of two incidents at a property in Heath Lane Corner, Sudbrook, on Thursday 6 June 2024 where a man has assaulted another man, before stealing his car at around 3pm that day.
The man is then alleged to have returned at around 11pm and further assaulted the same man and another man at the property before leaving in the stolen car taking personal belongings from the first victim.
All are believed to have been known to each other. A 45-year-old woman has also been arrested in connection with the assault on the first male and the theft of the vehicle. She has been released on police bail while further investigations are carried out.
Lagdon is also charged in relation to an incident where the stolen vehicle failed to stop at 12.45am on Friday 7 June 2024 in Gonerby Moor.
He is further charged in connection with two reports of shop theft. The first was on Saturday 24 February 2024 at the Co-op in Barrowby, where alcohol was reported stolen. The second was on Thursday 7 March at Farm Foods in Grantham where laundry products were reported stolen.
In total, he is charged with:
- Grievous bodily harm (GBH)
- Actual bodily harm (ABH)
- Non-fatal strangulation
- Theft in dwelling
- Driving without insurance
- Drive whilst unfit
- Aggravated vehicle taking
- Two counts of shop theft.
Lagdon appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on 10 June and was remanded into custody. He is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 8 July.
