Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 50s was bitten by an Alsatian in Kelby, near Heydopur.
The victim was out jogging near Kelby Lodge when the attack happened and he sustained a bite on his thigh.
This occurred at 10.30am on Friday 26 July and a young boy then attended and took control of the dog.
The victim required stitches and medication. Investigating officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident.
