An 18-year old man was arrested at midday today in connection with a public disorder investigation.
The arrest was made in Morrison’s car park and the man is now in custody.
It follows a disturbance at about 6.30pm in Grantham on Saturday following reports from members of the public in relation to a number of people believed to be carrying weapons in the town.
Armed officers deployed to the area and a total of eleven people were arrested in connection with the incident, which started in and around Wyndham Park and ended in the Greyfriars area.
Nine male suspects, aged between 17 and 40, and two women aged 26 and 32, were detained in relation to public order offences. All remain in custody for questioning.
Nobody was seriously injured during the incident.
The two women who were arrested have been released with no further action. They were both from Grantham.
Two men from Grantham, aged 40 and 39, have also been released with no further action.
0f the other 7 arrests, two are from Grantham, three are from the London area and two from the Peterborough area. They have been released on bail while officers continue to investigate this incident.
There were three further arrest yesterday.
