There will be longer than usual delays on Dysart Road and Sankt Augustin Way from Sunday due to road repairs.
This will probably lead to a ‘knock’on’ effect on other town roads.
County Highways will begin to resurface the road under Dysart Road Bridge which carries the East Coast Main Line and Notting-Norwich lines through the town.
The work is necessary due to the condition of the road due to pot holes.
In a statement., Lincolnshire County Council confirmed it will require “more significant traffic management than would be normal.
“To carry out these particular works does require some traffic signal switch-offs and more significant traffic management than would be normal for this type of work.”
The work was originally scheduled for mid-January but has been put back by four weeks.
